Storm Eunice: School closure 18.02.22

Update: School closure 18.02.22: email sent to parents 20:15  17.02.2022
I am writing to update you, on the situation regarding Storm Eunice and the weather warning for tomorrow.
Although Exeter is not determined to be in the ‘red’ section of the storm at present, the forecast conditions remain extreme for our area.  With so many other local settings closing, and staff travelling from ‘red’ areas around Devon into work, we are now also faced with significant staffing issues for tomorrow.
We have therefore taken the decision that the school will be closed tomorrow, Friday 18 February.

Your child’s teacher will provide details of some learning opportunities that can be undertaken at home, via Teams for children in Years 1-6, and on Tapestry for children in Reception.

We apologise for the inconvenience that this will cause, but we must prioritise safety, both due to the weather conditions and our available staffing levels.
Information sent by email to parents and carers 17.02.2022

I am sure you are aware from media reports that Storm Eunice is anticipated to hit Devon, however currently it is not due to hit our area. Therefore, our school will be open tomorrow, 18.02.2022.

In the event the path of the storm changes, we will let you know by updating this page.
